The largest part of the territory has a continental climate, with high temperatures and a small quantity of precipitations. In the north – west, the climate is oceanic and in the area next to Mediterranean Sea, the climate is Mediterranean. In Andalusia plane the climate has subtropical character.   

  Spain has a rich hydrographic network consisting of many rivers (Ebru, Guadalquivir, Guadiana, Tejo, Duero). In the mountains there are many glacial lakes.

  The vegetation adapted to the dry atmosphere consists in garriga and maquis and in meadows with drought resistant plant. In the mountains there are large forest areas.

  Spanish cuisine is one of the most diversified in Europe.

  Due to the geographic, cultural and climatic differences between the Spain areas, the cuisine consists in a great variety of dishes.
